Bahrain is building its future and the Masterplan with Diyar Al Muharraq, A development of 7 newly created islands that span over 12 square kilometres with a mix of luxury residential, commercial, recreational and healthcare facilities.
Ogilvy was asked to put forward an opinion on how to develop this new brand and identity system that looks towards a more modern and exciting future, while keeping proud Bahraini Heritage at its heart.
With the Kingdom having a rich tapestry of culture & history, we developed a visual identity that distilled over 500 key Bahraini cultural references into graphic icons, which were used to build the identity and provide building blocks for layouts and communications.
To keep in with the strategic positioning of 'Endless Possibilities' The system was built to continuously evolves and change as often as it needs and also the island develops.
A bespoke web-based control panel was built to managed all visual outputs, allowing anyone, of any skill level to generate on-brand layouts across all types of communication. It was also used to generate an almost infinite versions of the brand-mark.
